Was monitoring PD Southern earlier today (around 13:30 Hours PDT), and a silent 2-11 went out from some bank in San Ysidro. Dispatch amassed multiple units with both air and K-9 support. Perimeter established. Even a couple Mary units got involved; in fact the first unit 97 was indeed a Mary unit. Moments later the unit responds to dispatch that the bank and their alarm company was just testing out the system and they forgot to notify PD. If at this point you're not just a little P.O.'d I guess you may never be.

Moderators note: C.R.A.S.H. or 'Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums' was a group of elite anti-gang units within the L.A.P.D. that has sadly been disbanded for more 'politically correct' strategies and tactics in the constant war on gang violence. A real shame.

The more cops you have avail for a call, the less of a chance that it will be vaild! Especially when you have motors 97 first!
