OK, I'm a little nervous now.
When I entered the freqs Mike provided ( thank you, Mike ), the display shows I am receiving. But my audio quality is awful. sometimes I can make out faint voices behind the static. But most of the time, all I get is pure static when the machine stops scanning and begins to monitor a freq. This is not a squelch issue.
Is there a shop in the North County/ Inland area where I could take this thing for reputable once-over? I'm in Escondido.
Any any other suggestions? (And no, it's not in the budget to go out and buy a Uniden 396?
