i was wondering if the radio shack pro-96 would be a good scanner for san diego and how long it would be good for, also this would be my first scanner and was wondering how hard it would be to program for san diego sheriff and a couple local pd's thank you fpr any help.

Thats an ok scanner you only need the control channels programed and talk groups
