I was wondering if anyone had any pics or knew where there are any pics of the helicopters they use I heard one over my house and I heard a CVPD unit ask dispatch if it was astrea flying 100 feet in the air so I was just wondering if anyone had any pics or knew where some were?

It is a company out of Gillespie that does contract work to SDGE. Here is a link to a photo I got of them a couple years ago.

I can ask, my buddy is a gas engineer for them and goes up in the bird once in a while to survey the lines.

I know this is an old thread, but I believe that N206KK, a Bell 206L-1 registered to Blackhawk Helicopters at Gillespie Field is being used to patrol either power lines or gas pipelines for S D G & E. There is a photo at the following page.

I think that N369KK, a Hughes 369D, also registered to Blackhawk Helicopters is also being used for power line or gas pipeline inspections. I heard Montgomery Tower talking to that aircraft today and it sounded like they said they were on an inspection flight. I don't have a picture of that one.
