Many scanner people tried to tell RadioReference stuff is wrong,

Just like how that one wrong frequency was added without any LCN/LSN channel info. If they checked it with DSD+,etc software. They would have known it was wrong.
Other frequencies are missing the LCN/LSN info too!

Even Joe MCH gave up trying to get stuff corrected in RadioReference database.

The admin says the radios are wrong and he is right.
The higher up admins support him.
I just don't have the heart to tell the system
operator RR is right and his programming is wrong.
So, I don't worry about it anymore. Let them find the info.
And good luck finding a source better than the radios being used.

I've seen cases where admins change data based on what THEY think it should be rather than data that came right out of a system radio. That was around the time I just gave up submitting accurate data to RadioReference.

Now you have people in the western part of a county wondering why they can't hear anything, and are confused when I tell them they have to use what is labelled the 'east site', as that is the one that serves their area. And complaining about that does no good whatsoever. It just gets you labelled as a troublemaker and trashed by other admins.
Of course I know not all admins are the same, and there are some really good ones there, but all it takes is one to spoil a great recipe.

Is there a database on here somewhere? Or are people supposed to dig through the forums to find a frequency they're looking for? RadioReference seems to be a much more convenient place to find information to me. And like orcotruck59 said, if you know something is wrong and you don't submit a correction, then you're part of the problem.

I guess it's better to do the homework yourself and use the FCC database and Genmen Reports and do some research and get the accurate info rather than program outdated useless info and incorrect channels on trunked systems and hear nothing.

Also places like this forum have accurate info as well.

So you expect the RR admins to personally verify every submission? Then what's the point of having submissions at all? The admins could just update everything themselves.

You would need a huge staff of admins (at least one per county, that's 58 for California) being paid to monitor scanners full-time and keep the DB updated with everything, including unlicensed business frequencies. If you ever contributed to RR, you would know that there are only like 2 or 3 admins for the entire state. They don't work for RR, they volunteer their time and rely on information submitted by people like us.

Grow up and get over whatever beef you have with RR, we're all tired of hearing you complain about them.

The RRDB Admins could ask for help in the forum areas, when they don’t have all the info to fill in all the available data fields.
Like asking for “Site Frequency Table CH ID” for each frequency.

Lots of RR admins being super lazy, and not adding all the info on the site page.
Lots of info stays blank for many months or years! Like I said, many RRDB Admins are very lazy.
Or RRDB admins adding trash info into the database.

The RRDB Admins are ‘paid volunteers’, they get paid every January in gift cards or paper check from the RR owner.

Just like on this site page… lots of frequencies without channel numbers.

How do you know? Did you used to be a RRDB admin?

It’s been talked about before on the RR forum.

Please let the RadioReference Lead Database Administrator Tom Swisher, deal with the DB admins that keeps adding trash data into the database.
Hope he will tell DB Admin inigo88 to knock it off.

Brian, I've been a supporter of yours for a long time and truly appreciate the work you do with this ScanDiego site and the ScanRiverside site, not to mention the amazing amount of work you put into your ADS-B website. But, Steve brings up great points. The RR folks ask for help all the time. My submissions and corrections are welcomed with open arms. This truly seems like a more personal beef than anything else, IMO.
