can i get a better antenna for bcd396t scanner ??
Depends what you're going to listen too and such bands.
RadioShack sales a nice 800mhz Antenna (Smaller size)
To cover(CDF,CHP,etc) I been happy with this antenna.

The Diamond RH77CA is an HT antenna for transmit on 2 meters and 440 MHz. It is a 1/4 wave on 2 meters and a 1/2 wave on 440.
