Misc. Info for Oceanside?
Misc. Info for Oceanside?
Does anyone have a list of unit designators/beats/etc. for Oceanside? I'll pick it up eventually but a jump start would be nice.
Re: Misc. Info for Oceanside?

Re: Misc. Info for Oceanside?
There are 10 beats. That map only shows the NP sectors. Those don't exactly corrolate with beats.
1-10 Adam are day patrol, 1-10 Boy are swing patrol, 1-10 David are grave patrol. 21-30 are extra units on same beat (I.E. 21A is second 1 beat unit).
Charles units are community oriented policing.
George units are resource team (beach/downtown).
Henry units are code enforcement.
Ida units are detectives.
John units are jail transport (private contract).
1 King - 5 King are canine units.
Lincoln units are lieutenants.
Mary units are traffic motors.
Nora units are narcotics detectives.
Ocean units are Harbor PD.
Paul units are PERT.
Robert units are School Resource Officers.
Sam units are sergeants.
Tom units are traffic.
Union units are Field Evidence Techs.
Victor units are parking enforcement.
Young units are senior volunteers.
Zebra units are gang enforcement.
Hope this helps.

Re: Misc. Info for Oceanside?
Hi jp186, could you elaborate a bit more on the boundary’s (service areas),
I have a County map by SanGIS that match those on the sector map, service areas.
Thanks for Unit IDs and beat info, it is all appreciated.

Re: Misc. Info for Oceanside?
Thanks Steele and jp186. That was exactly what I was looking for.
Re: Misc. Info for Oceanside?
I cannot give you exact boundaries for the 10 beats. I know general areas. I know that map posted on the departments website does not match the beats.
1,2, and 3 beats are west of I5. One is the northernmost, 3 southernmost, and 2 is in the middle. 4 beat is east of I5 along Mission, 5 beat is east of I5 from Oceanside Bl to Hwy 78, east to ECR (I think). 6 is north of 78 west of College. 7 covers near Tri-City Hospital down south of Hwy 78. 8 beat is the area near ECR and Mission. 9 beat is Hwy 76 area near College, west to the area of RDO. 10 beat is the back gate area.
I'm sorry I don't have exact boundaries, but the info I gave should give you an idea.
