Just an additional radio bit regarding the Hydros, there's an article in this little company newsletter (from 1999) regarding use of radio networking from the boats to the pits to carry instrumentation telemetry.

They note that the boat itself may not even HAVE visible instruments, because the driver hasn't time to watch them, can't see them for the vibration, and they DIE from the vibration constantly! Rough service!

Not many findable licenses for these teams (some of which probably aren't licensed), but found a few:

U1/U5: Precision Performance, 464.500, 464.550, 469.500, 469.550
U16: Ellstrom Manufacturing, 461.425, 463.800
U7: U 7 Racing, 466.975, 467.100
U8: U 8 Racing, 463.975, 464.225, 464.675 (May be U25 now)

After Heat 2B, confirmed U16 crew on 461.425
Race Officials using 468.850 - No CTCSS or DCS detected
