Isn't it kind of a noobish question... APCO-25 digital equals "encryption" to some people.

So really the answer is, spend gobs of money you can't afford to spend on a scanner which will allow you to get headaches from trying to figure out what they're saying over a crappy sounding digital compression mode.

Nope, on RadioReference, it comes up only when someone says 'X is going to encrypt', at least 90% or more they mean encrypt, not just 'go digital'.

After all, even the more 'limited comprehension' souls can already see that 'digital' CAN be monitored from the messages.

Just that it comes up usually at least once a week, and sometimes the same person tries the same 'how can I' question in different groups, after the first group told him 'you can't', hoping for a different answer.
