I am getting it down, I think. Seems to have taken the TAC channels OK. I guess (tell me if I am wrong) you do not need to mess with the "HEX" numbers. Seems like just the TG number in it seems to work on the 996. I see no where in the operators manual about the "HEX" numbers.

No, disregard the hex numbers for scanners.

I'm getting the hang of it now. Got the BUTEL software today. Thought I would give it a try. Seems a bit easier than the Uniden software. I think in a couple of years I will figure the whole thing out. I at least got the conventional channels and the trunked system installed for the Sheriff and CHP working!! But as far as "BANKS" and different groups, still trying to figure that out!
