Thank you for this link. Did they get a new IT Chief in the last year or two?

This being a CHP video, they didn't mention the OES view of CRIS. When completed, CRIS will be linked to RCS and other P25 systems statewide. This will allow roaming. For example, if an ambulance task force from Sacramento is sent to Los Angeles, LA-RICS staff will be able to authorize the radios to operate on their system. In theory, the task force will have radio from dispatch in Sacramento most of the way to the incident scene in LA. In LA, they will use the local system which should have hand held coverage. There will be a facility for radios to move between interconnected P25 systems and I see CRIS as the core of that movement.
