Camp Pendleton 400 MhZ System -Update System Offline in 2007

Post by jjwool »

During my scanning this week I've found new TGs (? at least I think they are TGs) using call signs for ID. Sounds like some type of exercise.

TG's 11536, 50384, 50416, and 50448.

Still picking them up today, 8/17.

the 50000 series groups are being used for the big war game on post right now.
Mostly logistics and perimeter/ security checkpoints/post like "mudpit" "red beach" "post 6".

On Saturday night a marine ended up missing in the brush near Las Pulgas Gate. I have never heard such a "cluster #$%&" in my life! Non- working radios....NO maps of the area....no structured medevac etc.

The call finally went out to "Mighty Mouse" who I gather was the C.O of the ops.

The marine was found a short time later with an injured ankle......
And was "mercy aired" off post.
