San Diego Fire gets new medic rigs...

didn't have a chance to snap a pic but i saw the new medic 41 rig on the 805 this afternoon. it was one of the new f-series super duty truck rigs. very distinct looking. maybe tim can give us some insight?

To save on costs, don't the boxes get re-used? (As opposed to buying a whole new ambulance)

Actually, they're already moving away from the Fords. According to a mechanic I know, both EMTs and Medics are getting GMCs. BLS will use 3500s, Medics 4500s. I'm not sure of the difference. I'll attach a photo later.
