OT Dump Truck catches veg on fire 78 and san Pasquel Rd

The 78 at san pasquel rd is closed due to a dump truck that overturned & started a vegitation fire STA 93, 95, 83, CDF, with aircraft & dozer unit and SD fire units were all disp to the incident on MVU CMD 2 & Tac 5 also HRTland cmd 7 at 1537 hrs also chf 900 was using Co mut aid to cordinate with the IC. The dump truck is fully involved and blocking all lanes of travel just east of the sanpasquel academy at the bottom of the grade. did any one catch these incident and did any one catch how many acres were burned i was using two Radios to moniter these incident.

after a talk with communications, it appears that the city fire system was not used due to a downed repeater in the valley. they originally responded on San Diego VHF 1 (154.310).

why they didnt use NMA? i have no clue...

I heard the San Diego units using North Command 5 and Tac 9 extensively for communication with dispatch on this call. It sounded like SDFD dispatch was on an HT. Whatever it takes to get the job done!
