North Mutual Aid

Im hearing north mutual aid command 1 simulcast on the south zone anyone know whats going on or if this simulcast is permanent?

The 'fire travel channel' Mutual Aid North Tac 11 was on Southzone today....

Many of the mutual aid channels are available on all of the cells. Of course a unit has to be affiliated with it for it to work, but I thought it was only the (N, S, E) M/A Cmd 5 and Tacs 9 -11 that were available (as well as Heartland Cmd 5 and Tacs 9 - 11).

No 'zone specific' channel should ever be heard on a different zone.

Are you sure you had only the south zone scanning??

South Tac 11 is wide area, primarily because they use it as an in-county travel channel.
Same with Heartland Command 5, Tacs 9 and 10.
North Tac 11 may be wide-area as well.
