Millenium Falcon arrives in San Diego on 5/5/2007

The cargo ship Millenium Falcon is scheduled to arrive on that day, from Japan, carrying 'Project Cargo', which is generic heavy equipment.

The vessel is officially a car carrier, though.

Just the silly story for a really bored stringer, I guess.

I noticed because I've been playing with the program 'Shipplotter', which allows you to plot the exact location, course and speed of all 300ton plus vessels, and all passenger vessels, from AIS data broadcast on 161.975/162.025, and from that located the port's traffic page, at:

Port of San Diego Commercial Vessel Schedule

Shipplotter can be found at: Shipplotter - It's a commercial program, about $35 to register, with a 21 day tryout period.
