BCD996T Help

Post by IronCross »

Hey Guys,

I just got this beast and it was worth the money...
Im new to using scanners, was wondering if I could get any tips, Im
reading the manual atm. Got it all hooked up to my PC via USB.
I got the BC Software installed. I like how the City of SD scanner is setup.
What im trying to do is good channels in etc. Right now im just using the
default SanDiego City MOT and SanDiego MOT that was preloaded.
I like this community and I would like to be apart of it.

Learn from the best right.

I live in Imperial Beach, Im trying to listen to everything has to do with IB. Hell and the IBNOLF, IE the Millitary police, fire/rescue...(I live next to Job Corps and in a week avg about 15 calls get dispatched out there, and they send like 2-3 trucks , 1-2 medics, and either Mill PD or SDSD. Good old tax dollars at work eh)

I been trying to read all the goodies on the site(Good stuff).

My MSN: [email protected]

Or hit me up with what you got...

Much Appreciated!

Mark

(Update: I tried to add in some talkgroups and got rid of the other states I didnt need, and now I hit scan I get "Nothing to Scan" and even when I select the talkgroup IE Lemon Grove SD I get no activity. I been up for the last 78hrs trying to get this to work, I had it working before but not up to par. I read all the stuff on this scanner threw search, and it didnt help, Im a noob lol.)

Any help at all, Thanks

I tried your feed and its connecting just fine. My only suggestion would be turn down the audio a little because it sounds distorted/too loud. It could be the microphone setting on your computer, go into the advanced options and disable the amplify microphone setting. It's good to see more SoCal feeds on ProScan so keep up the good work.

Thanks, Im trying. ProScan is very easy to program(atleast for noobs)

I learned soo much, The only thing I cant figure out is that with ProScan. After a while the screen on proscan gets messed up and says check bruad rate. I have to restart the program and it works.

Imperial Beach Engine 39 is on the San Diego RCS system they are dispatched and do their operations with Heartland

Also they use The mutual aid channels during big incidents

IBNOLF is probably on the SD Region Navy system.
