Well I could be wrong, but I know for a fact that a brand new Pierce engine got delivered a month or so ago, and it was marked Engine 6. Actually the "new" engine 7 is old Engine 6. Engine 6 got a brand new Pierce engine.

I believe at the time I heard that statement the RCS was in the process of figuring out who needed new radios to comply with the digital requirement. I am not saying this is a "for sure" thing, but I know I heard him say it. I have to assume there is some degree of validity to it. Who know...

I would expect to see some Port District talkgroups popping up soon. Possibly programming radios and such. I know that some RCS agencies are reviewing and changing fleetmaps right now. We could see some additions/subtractions/realignments in the next several months. I personally heard a high ranking...

Depends on which repeater they are attempting to access. There is no "everyday" tone. It all depends on location and frequency.

One functions primarily as a truck (T-14), the other functions primarily as an engine (QT-46). At least that is the way it seems to me.

Where they are now I do not know. What I do know is that the RCS Board had to contract with a collection agency to get $2000.00 that Americare owes them. I guess if you dont pay the bill, the RCS shuts off service.
