They could conceivably have Fire CAD access through the city Intranet at the PD "Desk", although they don't mention it to us when responding on calls with us or when we update incidents.

Medic Units

Due to staffing levels, Rural Metro will place peak load units in service, like M80, M81, M70 and M89. You may also hear M71, M72, etc. These medic units are Special Event ALS units at venues like Cox Arena, the I Pay One Center and the like. This is the Division Chief. He is paged out for ALL rescues, Commercial/Apt fires, multiple alarm fires, and unusual situations. Just for info, this position is now a Deputy Chief billet.

SDFD/UCSD Zone maps

These maps (actually one map) are a part of the SDFD Fire Map book. I am not sure that the Fire Maps are available to the public. UCSD Public Safety may have something available, though.

SDFD CAD

There is a link on the SD City Intranet accessed from fire stations using a program called, CADView, but there is no public link like the CHP CAD that I am aware of.

New SDFD Equipment

It's not there right now, but T1 (a Pierce?) 110ft tiller has been delivered to the SDFD Repair Facility for acceptance. It is quite cool! No pictures yet. I haven't had the time...Tim
