SDFD has added BR12 (App. 1503) a 1978 Clark, formerly BR35. This apparatus fills a gap in Brush Rig coverage for the Paradise Hills area.

New Pierce Trucks

Driving east on I-80 through Iowa yesterday, I saw a brand new Truck 29 and Truck 44 headed westbound. The new Dep 3 is Lorraine Hutchinson (Operations), Dep 4 is Monica Morgan (Fire Marshal), Dep 5 Jeff Frazier (Support Services), Dep 6 Rod Ballard (EMS/Training). There is no longer a Dep 8.

Copter 1 A/G communications

They are still using Cmd 7 and Tac 24 (India) for training and general communications. Since Cars is a conventional 800mHz talk group, it would make sense to use it in the far reaches of the San Diego 800 system.

Brian is now Deputy 7 (Special Ops) in charge of Mast, SRT (Fire SWAT medics), HazMaT, EDT and Air Operations. The New AOPS1 is Greg Donnelly.
