They started reprogramming the radios/consoles last week.

Not sure if this is 100% correct. but something to go on for now.
Here some files to read it over about the new fleetmaps. Had to upload it as a zip file.

Since w6kru covered the conventional part. Another use could be when a scanner user is searching the band. and run across a P25 signal and catch the NAC tone. Then you know what trunked system it's coming from by that NAC. Since each trunked system will have a different NAC for it. (It only works if...

RescueKUjo has a photo of that escondido newest fire engine. The 3 new Pierce engines was delivered in October 2006. So it's few years old now :P and one of them doesn't have the original windshield. Just make sure the new RCS/SD digital sound doesn't sound like Orange County Digital sheriff talkgroups sound on scanners :cry: Don't need that 'acquired taste' in San Diego :evil:
