The new medic rescues simply denote that there's a firefighter on board, with turnouts, a BA and forcible entry tools. They still have a R/M EMT driver. I've heard MCAS Miramar FD use NMA Cmd 5 quite a bit in the past. My guess is that for any incident that may require non-military resources they use RCS talkgroups. Makes sense considering no non-military agency that would be assisting them would have access to the base 400 mhz trunked system. I als...

Pacific Ambulance is no longer on the RCS. It seems that all the private ambulance companies that have ever been on the RCS have eventually left for one reason or another(Pacific, Americare, and Mercy).
