I heard the San Diego units using North Command 5 and Tac 9 extensively for communication with dispatch on this call. It sounded like SDFD dispatch was on an HT. Whatever it takes to get the job done!

South Tac 11 is wide area, primarily because they use it as an in-county travel channel.
Same with Heartland Command 5, Tacs 9 and 10.
North Tac 11 may be wide-area as well.

I am guessing that the talkgroups with an "E" on the end indicate encrypted talkgroups.

I am not positive, but I think it is 864.150. I have not heard anything on it, but I noticed the County of San Diego is licensed for this 800 mhz frequency on Fire Mountain. The City of Oceanside isn't licensed on any 800 mhz frequency as far as I know, leading me to believe that is the correct freq...

Does anyone think it is worth it to get a digital scanner to monitor them? A digital scanner to monitor Southwestern College? I guess it all depends on what you are into. If listening to Southwestern College is your thing, then maybe it is worth the money. But there are a lot more digital talkgroup...

I think E38 switched into a KME yesterday as well.
