I know. The officer I was with told me that he didn't want to say anything but he always has something crazy happen when he has a ride along....he said he thought he would finally make it through the night....guess not.

Hi All, Have to share this one, it was way too good to keep to myself. I rode along with a really cool Mid City unit, we were in beat 827 and it was pretty busy. There were a few minor calls that were both routine and fun. The last event of the night was a basic traffic stop on a vehicle at about 4A...

I am in the MidCity area, I will call them and set it up.

Does anyone know if the ride along program is still going? I have been on two in the past, recently I have entered several requests online and received no call back from anyone. Is there someone in particular that anyone might know I can contact?

Hi all.

Is it illegal, in San Diego, to drive around and go to calls you hear on the radio? I never get out of my truck or do anything stupid, I mainly just get bored sometimes and kill time by driving around and listening to my scanner...should I quit doing this?

Sad tosay that the officer didn't make it. Sounds like most of law enforcement in the county are after these bastards. Prayers out to his family and fellow officers.
