Does anyone out there know if anyone or place in the county does repair on Uniden 250Ds? Its out of warranty, of course.

I know I can send it to Uniden, but what a hassle.

My 396 is not recognizing any power source other than battery. Doesn't see the home adapter or the adapter for use in your vehicle. Also getting pops and crackles and interruption when listening to transmissions. Probably have to send it back to Uniden. Is anyone else having these problems? Just tho...

I was scanning the other day and I think it was hitting on site 506, but the only thing I saw on my 396 screen that was different were the letters "DAT". Maybe this indicates data?

Is there much traffic on the San Diego County sites? I just got my 396 and programmed in the 3 frequencies as APCO 25,but haven't had any hits while I've been listening.
