What I find interesting about this talkgroup is that it is digital. The talkgroup number is in the analog portion of the previous "digital/analog partition".

It sounds like San Diego County Vector Control, or a similar type agency. I have heard traffic about traps and insects. Fascinating stuff. Really.

Since a scanner does not emit a signal, I see no reason why another radio could detect one.

County owns the apparatus (Rescue 7 and Rescue 8), and I think Rural-Metro staffs them with private firefighters under contract to the County. As far as frequencies, when a call goes down I hear them come up for North Comm on their channels (North Comms) requesting and canceling units.

I have heard the Intermountain units being dispatched by Monte Vista several times. Chief 95 even mentioned on the radio that the new station number was 85. The engine is 7815 and the rescue is 7885. Sunshine Summit also came up today asking Monte Vista about a scrambled page. That tells me Calfire ...

Volunteer FD's changing dispatch centers

Today I noticed at least a couple volunteer FD's have switched from Heartland dispatch to Calfire. Intermountain came up as Station 85 (used to be 95), and I think I heard Boulevard come up as Station 47.
Anybody aware of others?

Los Coyotes and Pauma Reservations

I consistently hear Los Coyotes and Pauma Reservation tribal law enforcement or security units using County Tacs 2 and 3 as their primary channels. My question is, are they RCS contracted users or mutual aid users? I am guessing they have RCS radios for mutual aid purposes, but have wound up using t...

Change in radio numbers

I noticed that several fire agencies are using new radio ID's. Ramona is in the 7800's, Valley Center in the 7700's, San Diego Rural in the 7200's. I am sure there are more. Anybody have further info?
