Re: RCS tracking system?
I don't know about your scanner, but you should have a choice when you enter the trunk frequencies to use 800 standard or 800 splinter.

Re: O.K. So where is this volcano??!!
I said that some of the voices sounded like they were in the South Pacific
There was no dispatcher either. It was likely a training exercise, maybe CERT
But I would think that they would not be using unused PD channels if they were civilians. That did not make sense to me.

Re: O.K. So where is this volcano??!!
I heard the same thing on NE, NE2, NW & NW2. From the accent of some of the voices, they were in the south pacific. Talking about air support has been diverted, so you are on your own for now. Different landing zones. I thought it was bleedover from some other system when I first heard it on my ...

Border Patrol

Re: CHP on RCS
I think I know. CHP received a grant of 250K for extra patrols and OT on the 67 to see if they can cut down on the DUIs and speeding. They probably had to bring in officers & vehicles from other areas and they don't have the RCS radios. It was funny today to see my scanner stopped on the GOLD an...

Re: CHP on RCS
Has anyone else noticed that El Cajon CHP is patched or simulcasting on their RCS and Gold channels? It has been this way since at least yesterday.

Re: Fleetmaps
I noticed on the lists that Brian provided, there are a number of new TGs, and some reassigned. Like all of the groups will have the "P" channel as an emergency channel, and most are listed as "new". Also note that on SDCity, the Admin & Dispatch are apparently swapped. Also ...
