BC245XLT question
I just picked up a used BC245XLT trunk tracker II yesterday for 15 bucks. I was wondering if it will scan any trunked systems in San Diego??? I know it won't do the "RCS" system here. But it seems to do a good job on the CHP regular channels.

I have some good coax, I think its the LMR400 or something like that. I go out to the desert once or twice a month, and usually end up around Ocotillo or east to ...

East zone from North zone

860MHZ antenna
I have this antenna set up now. I know the coax is not the best. But does anyone think a 2 meter antenna cut down to 3" length would work better for receiving SDPD here in San Marcos??? I can receive them now, but a real weak signal. I am on a small hill (800' above sea level) with a good view ...
