My 796D is just over a week old and I’m learning new things everyday. It works well and I’ve heard a lot of interesting traffic. I just got the ARC-250 software and I’m using it now.

The top line my display showed the talk group # and the list #, then again on the 4th line the list # was shown.

I programmed all the bank #'s into the talk group description and also added another tag (very general description) as a text tag to each group ...

My 760D is only a few days old and I already probably have over 200 talk roups progammed and working well.

But unless I don't have the radio set right I'm dissapointed that the bank # isn't shown on the display while scanning, but the list # is shown twice!

I have downloaded the demo version and am having a few problems getting to run right. But as soon as I get the bugs out I will get the full version.

If for no other reason than everyone seems to use it & share files on it.

I have read that the Uniden software isn't the best available, but I'm going to use it at least until I feel more comfortable w/ the radio.

I see the term "trunked" used a lot, but I don't understand what it means. I did some scanning in the 70's and never heard the term back then.

I am using a Uniden BC92XLT scanner.

I can't seem to find the frequency for the local Sheriff or other primary law enforcement in Ramona.

I looked at the listings on this site and they give street address & other details, but no frequency info.

Can anyone help me in getting some initial frequencys in this area so that I can get ...
