Air Units IFR or VFR
IFR flight requires the aircraft and pilot to be cerified. Niether is the case with ABLE or ASTREA. Mercy AIR does IFR when needed. ABLE and ASTREA
ASTREA works 123.100. That is the assigned Search and Rescue aviation freq. Since they are THE SAR helo for the county, they use that for air to air. ABLE uses 122.775 for air to air.
