I hope someone else here will jump in. I don't know much about the RS scanners.. Double check the settings. Make sure the system is set to MOTO type II. why do i get a really bad noise on freq 868.41250 every time the scanner gets to that freq it sound like a diesel truck running. it's on my S.D County freq's That's the data channel. You're not in trunk mode. What scanner is it? You have to program the frequencies in as a Motorola Type II trunking ...

I'm hearing them also, but they seem to be slow as opposed to other depts. I usually don't monitor them, but locked onto them to see if they came up. I'm also using a 96.
