Re: San Diego City 800MHz - Rebanding Information - 2019
I didn't see this information in the material provided, but a call to the SD City Radio Shop revealed that after re-banding, the San Diego City 800mHz system is no longer a Splinter system. I change the system type to Default on my TRX-1. I may be slow, but I got it to work.

Re: fire terminology
I don't know how Heartland is doing it, but at SDFD we give them (the IC) this notice at working fires, purportedly to advise them that the fire has had enough time, since the initial call for service, to have impinged enough on a structure to make the building unstable. It is up to the IC to take a...

CHULA VISTA FD Dispatch
On 3/5/08 San Diego FD began dispatch for the City of Chula Vista Fire Department. A seamless transfer of responsibility was accomplished in a relatively short period time - 10 weeks! Chula Vista FD has adopted many of San Diego's alarm assignments while maintaining some of their own (specifically 2...

Tim, Thanks for the information. I find it odd that they would let Chula Vista keep the numbers they currently use (Station 51-59) when Poway just gave up those numbers. With the number of planned SDFD stations they will easily move into the 50's in the future. Why not avoid a future problem and re...
