Is the San Diego City trunked system a Motorola Smartzone now it sounds different?

It does sound different and the emergency tone has changed

Since it is showing a 'site 2' I would think that makes it a smartzone system.... maybe Sean will know more when he checks in next...
plus I notice it doesn't show the SYSTEM TIME anymore on trunker in the top right corner!

Yes. Looks like the equipment that was sitting in a warehouse has finally been installed.
So think RCS style, but on a smaller scale.
Single-site and non-networked Simulcast systems send out the clock message. SmartZone systems don't.

Yes. The upgrade takes the SmartNet 2.0 architecture to SmartZone 4.1.
