Caught a brief conversation on 45520 between "HazMat 4" and "HazMat 5" on 45520 and they made reference to the "Command Vehicle" and cross-connecting radios in it.

And this should explain SDG&E's presence on the RCS 8.2 M/S/A – To request the RCS Board’s recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors to approve the request of SEMPRA (SDG&E) to increase their authorized maximum radio limit on the RCS network from eight (8) to ninety-five (95). Based ...

Talkgorup 28400 - SDGE - Transmission Ops

Picking up traffic (SDG&E?) today - Sounds like a helicopter and ground crew installing a pole of some kind. Maybe something to do with the transmission line project I've heard them talk about on their commercials?

Most of the time Mercy Air uses 131.6750 to communicate with their base. Sometimes they'll pop up on 28016 on the RCS but they mainly use the VHF AM channel for comms to base.

When coordinating with ground units prior to landing, you can hear than on Med Air (10192) on the RCS.

Testing has been going on the last few days on the Gold (39.6000) and the RCS is being simulcast on the Gold right now. Is this some special enforcement or is CHP planning on moving back?

If it's tracking properly, you only need 5008. On my Motorola's thats the only TG you put in, and it hears every dispatch. I've noticed that I mode over to ADMIN during a dispatch, and it mirrors 7A. So something is not quite right on the patch or multiselect with the 396. Same applies to some scan...

I'm using firmware v1.11.03 on my 396 - the latest from their website. As far as I can tell I'm not having any problems on the City system. To grab all of the FD dispatches, you need to have at least 4688, 5008, and Admin programmed in. When I remember to do it, I'll program the city system and leav...

The original Pro 92 that uses the sub-audible tone format of trunking should trunk track the City system (along with RCS North and other splinter systems like a lot of the RCS Fill-In zones and whatnot). The newer Pro 92s (As and Bs) that use control channel trunking WON'T work with the splinter sys...

The 396 works fine with patches ... If you're having to use talkgroups that aren't divisible by 16 (5011 or 5015 for example), then you don't have the Status Bit option set properly for the trunked system. In the Uniden 396 software, it's Ignore Status Bit that you want to have checked. Based on wat...
